What a wonderful problem to have. With all the stories we hear about families out of work, out of their homes and out of food, one food bank is desperate to help. In Kennewick, Washington, one food bank, Sozo Food Bank, actually has too much food!
According to the director, Kristin Baldwin, there have been a lot of extra options become available in the middle of this coronavirus pandemic for those with food insecurity. For this reason, the food bank is actually receiving more food in donations than they can distribute to those that need it.
Who would have thought that, in such a time as this, there would be too much help? How wonderful. Baldwin is pleading for people to simply let them help. If you or someone you know is struggling right now, please get in touch. There are plenty of reasons to find your budget stretched. Maybe you’re out of work, dealing with health issues or simply trying to help others who depend on you. It doesn’t matter. If not worrying about food for you and your loved ones would help and you’re in the Kennwick area, please visit them.
