Months passed and Edwards thought the incident was in the past until she was invited to a special luncheon by the Bay County Chamber of Commerce where she was honored with a first responder’s award. ‘It felt really good but a part of me was like, you know, I don’t really deserve this award because everybody does the same thing I did, they just don’t get recognized for it,’ Edwards said.”

“For her it wasn’t a gesture of kindness- it was just part of her job.”
