Rapid City, South Dakota Civic center commits to green energy

Good News Notes:

The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, South Dakota is planning to be powered by wind energy by next fall.

The Center is one of the newest customers of the new wind farm being built by Black Hills Energy outside Cheyenne, Wyoming

The Center currently consumes approximately 1 megawatt of electricity annually at a cost of $1 million.
