“Keep Lee County Beautiful partnered with the City of Fort Myers to hold a litter cleanup on Public Lands Day, September 25.
A group of 38 volunteers gathered to clean Manuel’s Branch Neighborhood Park and a portion of the Caloosahatchee Watershed.
Gutteridge Haskins & Davey also joined in to help clean up the area.
The community members collected 540 pounds of litter and debris from the waterway, roadway, and public lands from 8 AM- 11 AM.
“This project was important because the debris needed to be cleaned up before it reached the Caloosahatchee Watershed,” said executive director Trish Fancher. “Our team and volunteers made this clean-up possible and we could not be more grateful.”…
