“A local high school group working toward a sustainable future took a big step forward on Friday.
St. Albans High School AP biology teacher Caitlyn Dixon and her students unveiled their sustainable greenhouse and hydroponics system on campus Friday.
The group has been working during the past two years to design and construct the dome.
“Once we won the grant, we developed a STEM program here at the school that’s a class we offer now that’s pretty unique to St. Albans,” Dixon said. “Students identified, did the site selection and they did solar studies, they determined where it should go on campus and then many students devoted most of their COVID summer to actually build a structure.”…
