“Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach hosted a free food and dental kit distribution on Saturday.
It took place at the nonprofit’s Johns Island location on Brownswood Road.
Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach says they are continuing to provide help to those needing emergency financial, employment and food services during these challenging times.
The nonprofit’s Executive Director Ericka Plater says they hosted the weekend event to health reach people who may be working during the week and can’t visit their locations.
She says the pandemic has caused a greater need in the community.”
