“One of the biggest challenges the fashion industry is facing is reducing its carbon footprint. Sustainability means many things, but one of its unquestionable goals is ensuring the health and longevity of our planet.
This mindset is at the core of an all-new, sustainable denim drop by Levi’s®. As the brand that introduced the world to jeans, it’s no surprise that it’s continuing to innovate by driving sustainable fashion forward. And this season, we’re being blessed with a range of loose-fit jeans that we’ll be living in this spring that includes the 551™ Z Authentic Straight Jeans, the 501®️ ’93 Straight Jeans, and the Stay Loose Carpenter Jeans.
The all-new jeans are part of the sustainable denim drop by Levi’s® that we’re really excited about. The 551™ Z Authentic Straight and the Stay Loose Carpenter are made with super-soft Cottonized Hemp specially designed for the brand. And the 501®️ ’93 Straight Jeans are constructed with organic cotton.
If, like us, you’ve been more mindful of the fabrics being used in clothing production, you’ll be happy to know that hemp uses less water and fewer pesticides to grow than cotton. Also, hemp has the benefit of leaving behind cleaner soils. The hemp yarn creates a similar feel to cotton and has the same look as our favorite pair of Levi’s® jeans – and the best part is that it’s easier on the environment.”
