“Recently retired from the United States Air Force, one man decided to ride his bicycle from California to South Carolina to raise money for a veteran’s charity, ending his journey on ‘The Edge of America’ on New Years Eve.
Around noon, Eben Engler completed his solo ride across the country from San Franciso to Folly Beach to raise money for the non-profit Mission 22 which provides mental health services to veterans.
‘I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do once I got out of the Air Force and I thought about a cross country bike ride,’ Engler said. ‘Then I added the charity aspect because I thought it would be wasted if I didn’t use it to do something good.’”
