“A Vietnam War veteran from the Johnstown area received his high school diploma Thursday.

The Greater Johnstown School District held a ceremony at the War Memorial to recognize Robert Miles Senior.

Miles was 18-years-old and in the 11th grade when he joined the Marines.

He says he felt it was his duty to serve his country when the war was ramping up so he left school to fight the war before he graduated.”
