“Renowned actor and Brooklynite Jeffrey Wright started his Brooklyn for Life! initiative in mid-March to help first responders and healthcare workers.
The initiative will now be able to expand further supporting more restaurants and delivering approximately 30,000 more meals to frontline healthcare workers, with a newly announced $250,000 donation from AT&T and its sister company WarnerMedia.
The campaign statement says: Restaurants are culture in Brooklyn. They’re where we eat, of course. They’re how we stay connected. They’re where we live. 100% of all monies raised (beyond GoFundMe’s processing fee & legal fees) will be used to provide meals from Brooklyn for Life! partner restaurants to the men and women on the frontlines.”
