“The Humane Society of Yates County (HSYC) and their Shelter of Hope have been award a major grant of half a million dollars for improvements at the shelter that will improve the quality of life for the animals, and increase their chances of being adopted.
The HSYC is one of 12 shelters that have been awarded a grant from New York State’s Companion Animal Capital Fund. Competitive grants were awarded to shelters based on the need and readiness of the projects.”
