“On Friday, first-responders went door-to-door, oftentimes by boat, checking on the safety of hundreds of people experiencing flooding in the Nisqually Valley.
“Extremely grateful for the Sheriff’s office, Thurston county, they got us out safe,” said Gloria Scott, who was rescued from a housing development along Old Pacific Hwy.
The Sheriff’s Office said they went by 400 homes on Thursday after an evacuation advisory was issued.”
