“The 27th annual Project Homeless Connect was held Tuesday at the Champion Center Church on East Bonanza. During the course of the huge seven-hour event, Nevada Homeless Alliance Executive Director Emily Paulsen estimates the 500 volunteers served between 2,500 and 3,000 of the valley’s homeless. Help includes a wide variety of services.”
“’Housing, most importantly health care, employment. We have a job fair here,’ said Paulsen. ‘Legal aid, showers, haircuts, a hot meal, veterans services, senior services, food pantry. Oh my goodness, the list goes on and on.'”
“Our employees know people who are in need. So, we’re all one in the same,” said Maria Gatti, Executive Director of Corporate Philanthropy and Community Engagement for MGM Resorts. “Serving others actually helps us be part of this amazing city, and it’s how you pay it forward.”
