Alexandria animal rehabilitation center extends the life of pets

Good News Notes:

“Steidl is a certified veterinary technician and a graduate in the Canine Rehabilitation Certificate Program at the University of Tennessee. She came to Alexandria Veterinary Clinic in 2012, and within a year started treating animals in order to earn her rehabilitation certificate. Since then, she estimates she has seen more than 100 animals that needed help getting back on all four legs.”

“Animal rehab clinics assist pets in getting back to full strength while sustaining their health through the later years of their life. At Four Paws, Steidl designs a program that fits each pet.”

“What separates Four Paws from other clinics is its underwater treadmill. Animals walk at a slow pace in shallow water that helps take the weight off the injured limb, but still applies the necessary pressure needed for them to make a recovery.”
