Disney to offer more plant-based food to parkgoers starting in October

 Good News Notes:

A growing number of the population now identify themselves as flexitarians. While they may not be completely vegan, they are looking for ways to make a larger percentage of their diets plant-based, whether for health reasons or environmental concerns.  Combined with the vegetarian and vegan population, Disney felt there was need for plant-based options.

“Euromonitor estimates that the market for plant-based foods could be worth $2.5 billion by 2023.”

The 400 food items that are free of meat, dairy, eggs or honey are coming Oct. 1st to Disney World in Orlando, FL and will come to Disneyland in Anaheim, California next spring.  They will be marked with a leaf on menus for easy identification.
