How Kids In Foster Care Are Beating The Odds With Academic Success

Good News Notes:

New program called Kids in School Rule! helps children in foster care to excel in school.

The program has served more than 1,600 youths.

Often, kids in foster care have poorer education outcomes, get moved around more, see more disciplinary removal than other children and may not have special needs recognized as easily.

In 2016-2017, 91 percent of children served by the program advanced to the next grade and 74 percent suffered no moves between schools.
